Beautiful Dogs Boutique is located in the centre of Bromsgrove with free parking directly outside. The salon has been designed to provide a safe and hygienic environment for your dogs groom.
At Beautiful Dogs Boutique we cater for most breeds and our services range from a nail clip to the ultimate in full spa treatments. We only use high quality products and the latest equipment to ensure we fulfill all your grooming requirements.
Our equipment is of the highest quality including:
- Fully height adjustable grooming tables.
- A full size bath accommodating even the largest of breed.
- Professional blaster dryers with various settings.
- Fresh towels for every dog washed daily on site.
- Highest quality clippers and scissors used, regularly serviced.

What the Academy offers
The academy offers City and Guilds Level 2 Dog Grooming Assistant Certificate (7863-02), City and Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming (7863-03) and a combined course of Levels 2 and 3.

The Courses
City and Guilds Level 2 Dog Grooming Assistant (7863-02)
This qualification is for students who wish to become dog grooming assistants, staff who want to gain an accredited certificate and those who would like to progress onto the City and Guilds Level 3 Dog Grooming Diploma.
15 days hands on tuition
- Student will reach competence in preparation of a dog ready for styling, including bathing, brushing, dematting and drying of the dog’s coat.
- Student will reach competence in preparation of a dog ready for styling, including bathing, brushing, dematting and drying of the dog’s coat.
- Students will learn all different breeds and coat types.
- You will learn correct handling, restraining and lifting techniques.
- You will learn how to maintain the cleanliness and bio-security of the salon working environment.
- You will learn how to use, clean and maintain equipment used for dog grooming.
- Upon successful completion of the required practical and theory assignments the Level 2 Dog Grooming Assistant City and Guilds Qualification will be awarded and those wishing to progress can enrol on the Level 3 Dog Grooming Diploma.

City and Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming (7863-03)
This course is for those who want to become Professional Dog Groomers and be awarded the City and Guilds qualification.
City and Guilds Level 2 Dog Grooming Assistant qualification has to be completed prior to commencement of the Level 3 Diploma course.
20 Days Hands On Tuition - Plus guided home study
- You will become fully skilled in the preparation of various breeds and types of coats for styling.
- Various grooming techniques will be taught including, clipping, scissoring and hand stripping.
- You will learn to style and finish to a high Level 3 standard a large variety of breeds.
- You will learn how to conduct a health check and dog handling within the salon environment.
- Health and safety legislation and codes of practice for the dog grooming industry will be taught.
- Customer service and record keeping skills taught enabling you run a successful dog grooming business.
- You will be encouraged to make your own decisions in assessing the dog and the skills and tools required to complete the groom required.
- Upon completion of the assignments and theory exam the Level 3 Dog Grooming Diploma will be awarded.

COURSE PRICE £4800
A one day in salon assessment must be completed prior to booking the Level 3 Course if the student HAS NOT completed the Level 2 Dog Grooming Assistant at Beautiful Dogs Boutique Training Academy. This is to allow the tutor to establish the student is at the required standard to move forward with the Level 3 Dog Grooming Diploma (7863).
The cost is £100 (you must provide your own dog).

32 Days Hands On Tuition
Plus guided home study
This course is for those who wish to combine both courses to become fully qualified dog groomers.
This course combines both Level 2 and Level 3 at the same time.

Upon successful completion of required practical, synoptic assignment and theory exam both qualifications will be awarded and the student will be a fully qualified dog groomer.
